About Us and Contact Information
The Riverside Junior Woman's Charity (RJWC) is organized in order to improve the quality of life in the Riverside community and the surrounding area by identifying the human needs of its residents; promoting those needs; and encouraging charitable support within the community to meet those needs. Independence Day Events
RJWC coordinates with Friends of the Fourth to provide a kid-friendly activity affiliated with the celebration.
Senior Citizen Outreach
RJWC prepares and delivers meals to seniors who could use a home-cooked meal.
Scholarship
A $1,500 scholarship is awarded to a local female high school senior who has demonstrated an outstanding level of community service among other criteria. The student must be recommended by a current, associate or honorary RJWC member.
Spelling Bee
The Spelling Bee is offered to all Riverside elementary schools in the Spring. Winners receive a gift certificate and their name engraved on the school's plaque.
