Gourmet Club Information

The next RJWC Gourmet member dinner is scheduled for Saturday, May 19.  

Gourmet is for the members in the RJWC that like to eat and socialize at the same time.  This group was started over 20 years ago and was designed for the true gourmet.  Now it's more of a social event that we can participate in with our significant others and enjoy a great meal. 

Members that join Gourmet can join in two different ways, as a regular member or as an alternate.  Regular members participate as a host/ess at one of five Gourmet dinners held throughout the village on a bimonthly basis.  Each host/ess (5) for their scheduled month, meet together and plan a themed dinner for their guests to cook and bring to each house.  Host/ess are responsible for exploring and distributing the menus for their month, to their appointed guests. The Main dish and beverages are also the host/ess responsibility.  As an alternate member of Gourmet you would be as involved as the regular members if you are available to substitute for regular members who cannot attend at a certain month's Gourmet.  Alternates do not substitute for host/ess at any time.  

Sometime at the end of our fiscal year a "Summer Gourmet" dinner is put together for all members of Gourmet to attend.  This group has two (2) chairwomen that coordinate and help this group run smoothly throughout the season.
