Working with and for our community is an important part of the Riverside Juniors' mission. We are currently reaching out through our maintenance of a community garden: Patriot's Park, hosting our annual Breakfast with Santa, donating items each year with our Charities of the Season, and volunteering at deserving places like Ronald McDonald's House and others.
Charity of The Season:
Each year we focus on three non-profits for our "Charity of the Season".
RJWC members are introduced to the organization, their mission and then are encouraged to donate items that have been requested.
Our current Charity of the Season is
Fisher House at Hines VA Hospital
For our Fall charity of the Season we will be collecting much needed items for Hines Fisher House until November 8, 2018. Hines Fisher House is a "home away from home" for family members, caregivers or loved ones of patients receiving medical care at the Hines VA medical center.
Donations can be dropped off in a plastic bin on Elke's front covered stoop or in her mailbox at 134 Fairbank Rd. Questions feel free to contact Elke at firstname.lastname@example.org or 312-961-7115. Check out the list on the link, and drop something off : Fisher House Wish List
